Purpose of the tool

This is the classic "memory" match game that you remember from your childhood but presented in a way your kids will love! Students will sharpen their observation and memory skills while matching words and images from the cards displayed on the board.

Grade: K,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Explanation of the tool

First thing you'll do is press the "Settings" button to set up the game as desired.

Here, you can choose to choose a group of themed images under "Theme" or choose "random" if you want your students to select matches of written words on the playing cards. If you planning to do the latter, go to Game Mode to choose exactly how your students will be playing.

In this "Settings" screen you can also select how many cards they will be playing with and how turn-taking will occur in the game. If you select the option "Keep turn after match" the player that makes a match will keep the turn and can continue playing. If you select the option "Always take turns" the turn will always go to the other player regardless of if he or she makes a match. Press "Save" once you're ready to start the game.

All of the cards will be presented with the images (or words) facing down. The player will turn two cards at a time, by pressing or clicking on them. If the cards match, they will then be added to the box on the right side of the screen. The goal is to remember where every image is and find your match. The player with the most cards at the end, wins the game!
